Akagera national park is the only savannah national park in Rwanda, it is situated in the eastern part of Rwanda, characterized by woodland, swamps, low mountains, and savannah, despite the park being affected by the 1994 Rwanda genocide aftermath, there is some good wildlife left in the national park, our 2 Days Akagera National Park trip will have you the best of the country’s wildlife. Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Akagera National Park.

Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by our company representative who will meet greet and transfer you to Akagera National Park, our driver will brief you about the tour, the journey passes through the beautiful country side of Rwanda, when you reach you will first checking at the lodge have something to eat and proceed with a morning game drives expect to see zebras, Masai giraffes, leopards, buffaloes, Rhinos, antelopes to mention a few. It is best to rent a 4×4 car in Rwanda to explore Akagera the best way. We will return to the lodge for lunch and an afternoon boat cruise on Lake Ihema, an excellent viewing spot of birds including the exclusive shoe bill stock, the boat cruise normally lasts for 2-3 hours.
